El turismo de cruceros está comúnmente asociado a una práctica exógenamente determinada. Sin embargo, como práctica social, se emplaza en un espacio cargado de connotaciones sociales y culturales; haciendo uso de un territorio construido socialmente. Desde esta mirada la decisión de optar por este tipo de actividad es tomada teniendo en cuenta un conjunto de elementos que va más allá de las características del buque. Los territorios en cuestión deben poseer una serie de condiciones que resulten favorables para su competitividad, fundamentalmente asociadas a la presencia de recursos naturales y culturales que conforman la oferta de sitios potenciales de visita y la prestación de servicios. Estos factores forman parte de las competencias territoriales que poseen los destinos y pueden actuar como elementos que favorezcan y potencien su inserción en el turismo de cruceros. Puerto Deseado y Camarones, dos puertos de la Patagonia argentina, han mostrado interés por esta actividad surgiendo el interrogante respecto a las competencias territoriales que poseen para el desarrollo del turismo de cruceros. El trabajo optó por un enfoque cualitativo, apoyado en técnicas cuantitativas desarrollado durante la temporada de verano 2017-2018 y consistió en el relevamiento y análisis de diferentes componentes territoriales complementado con la opinión de informantes clave. Los resultados obtenidos reflejan la potencialidad que poseen ambas localidades en términos de sitios de visita y planta turística destacándose que, si bien cuentan con un conjunto de componentes territoriales que los posicionarían competitivamente en el mercado de cruceros, también es necesario fortalecer otros.
<p>El paisaje costero está integrado por elementos naturales y antrópicos, y resulta fuertemente valorizado y transformado por el turismo de sol y playa. Esta cuestión se indaga en la investigación “Turismo y Desarrollo en Destinos Costeros de la Provincia de Buenos Aires”, del Grupo Turismo y Territorio, Espacios Naturales y Culturales de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata. A través del método geohistórico se analiza la evolución del espacio litoral de Santa Clara del Mar (Argentina), que debido a las obras de acondicionamiento turístico: construcción sobre la playa de balnearios, alojamiento, espacios gastronómicos y comerciales, transforman los recursos naturales, interrumpen la visión paisajística costera y originan una compleja problemática ambiental.</p>
Se presentan los resultados de las actividades llevadas a cabo en el proyecto de extensión “Concientización turística ambiental en destinos costeros”, de la Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, con el objetivo de analizar la contribuciónde la extensión a la investigación y formación de grado del Licenciado en Turismo. Se articuló con la asignatura Práctica Profesional Comunitaria, en la que los estudiantes realizaron actividades de concientización en problemáticasambientales dirigidas a diferentes actores y consensuaron acciones para mejorar la contribución del turismo al desarrollo local en Santa Clara del Mar (Argentina).Se aplicó la metodología de Investigación Acción Participativa (IAP), lo cual permitió que el accionar del grupo contribuya con la formación del Licenciadoen Turismo mediante la capacitación en temas turísticos y ambientales, en tanto que su actuación generó una mayor conciencia en los actores locales sobre el adecuado manejo de los espacios turísticos y costeros, con el consecuentefavorecimiento del desarrollo local.
