Standard MOD cavities were prepared for these three groups. In group 2, no restoration was performed. In group 3, teeth were restored with resin composite (Filtek Z250, 3M ESPE, St. Paul, MN, USA)whereas in group 4, woven fiber (Stick Net, Stick Tech Ltd, Turku, Finland) and resin composite were used. Following the restorations, specimens were submitted to an axial compression test on universal testing machine Shimadzu, Tokyo, Japan)
