Ir4(CO) 11 (CNBut)] has been prepared and shown (by X-ray crystallography and 13C n.m.r. studies) to be the first example of a derivative of 1r4(C0)12 without bridging carbonyl groups ; variable temperature 13C n.m.r. spectra establish carbonyl scrambling via a triply bridged intermediate, i.e., the formal inverse of the C,, -+ Td scrambling mechanism proposed for [Rh,(CO) 12].
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
