This paper presents a high-gain, dual resonance microstrip patch antenna which operates at 4.285 GHz and 4.425 GHz. Measurement results show an input match of -21.2 dB and electric field phi-polarized gain is 8.52 dB. Cross-polarization levels are better than 30 dB. A slotted geometry was used in order to manage resonance frequencies effectively. 3-D simulations, a parametric study and implemention details are presented. The antenna geometry is very simple with three rectangular slots thereby achieving easy fabrication performance over previously published similar works in literature.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
