Participaram do estudo 14 professores da Educação Infantil de cinco escolas da rede pública de Caucaia. O estudo trata-se de uma pesquisa transversal de natureza qualitativa e quantitativa de estatística descritiva, foi utilizado questionários e a aplicação do TCLE . Percebeu-se que todos os professores participantes da pesquisa tiveram conhecimento da psicomotricidade em sua formação. Considerando importantes os aspectos coordenação motora fina, equilíbrio, lateralidade e esquema corporal, como os mais utilizados em sala de aulas. De acordo com os docentes participantes da pesquisa, é de suma importância a presença de um profissional de Educação Física na Educação infantil. Diante dos resultados e discussões obtidos nesse estudo constatou-se que as crianças das cinco escolas estudadas, não recebem 100% da contribuição que a psicomotricidade proporciona para elas, pois os docentes não abordam todos os aspectos psicomotores por não terem conhecimento suficiente na área. ABSTRACTThe aim of this work was to analyze the contributions of psychomotricity to the motor development of early childhood students. 14 teachers of Early Childhood Education from five public schools in Caucaia participated in the study. The study is a cross-sectional study of a qualitative and quantitative nature of descriptive statistics, questionnaires and the application of the informed consent was used.It was noticed that all teachers participating in the research were aware of psychomotricity in their training. Considering important the aspects fine motor coordination, balance, laterality and body scheme, as the most used in the classroom. According to the professors participating in the research, the presence of a Physical Education professional in early childhood education is extremely important. In view of the results and discussions obtained in this study, it was found that children from the five schools studied do not receive 100% of the contribution that psychomotricity provides for them, as teachers do not address all psychomotor aspects because they do not have sufficient knowledge in the area.
