Introducción: en los procesos educativos se realizan análisis de debilidades y fortalezas e indagan las necesidades de desarrollar capacitaciones que favorezcan la educación universitaria. Objetivo: establecer las competencias docentes según la percepción de los estudiantes de la carrera de enfermería. Método: estudio no experimental, descriptivo, analítico y transversal, se aplicó una encuesta a los estudiantes del cuarto al sexto semestre de la Carrera de Enfermería, de la Universidad Técnica del Norte, los datos se presentan por gráficos y porcentajes. Resultados: la edad de los docentes fue 41 a 55 años, los estudiantes consideran una característica muy requerida el título de cuarto nivel, el 85% de los estudiantes consideran relevante la puntualidad del docente, el 56% establecieron que los docentes actualizan los conocimientos y manejan adecuadamente las tecnologías de información y comunicación (TICS), el 90% de los estudiantes indicaron como una característica muy requerida la socialización del silabo, el 56% consideran que existe planificación de cada clase teórica y el 57% de los estudiantes afirmaron la necesidad de la vinculación de la investigación con la asignatura. Conclusiones: Las características docentes en el área técnica pedagógica se reflejan altamente evaluada según opiniones manifestadas por los estudiantes de la carrera.
Introducción: La investigación tiene como objetivo analizar los factores que se encuentran asociados al desarrollo de las habilidades sociales en los adolescentes ante posibles repercusiones post confinamiento por el Covid19 en el contexto social, cuyo aislamiento generó limitantes que obstaculizan las capacidades de relacionarse con las demás personas. Materiales y métodos: El estudio es no probabilístico y cuenta con un tipo de investigación cuantitativa, no experimental; además, tiene un diseño analítico de cohorte transversal. El respectivo análisis estadístico se lo realizo por medio de estadísticos no paramétricos, por cuanto, las variables cuantitativas y ordinales no presentan normalidad en su distribución. Se aplicó una encuesta analítica y el test de Arnold Goldstein para valorar las habilidades sociales de la población conformada por un total de 178 estudiantes. Resultados y discusión: La mayoría de los estudiantes analizados, el 87,1% muestran niveles de habilidad social deficientes, en donde los más afectados por esta problemática son los menores a 17 años con sexo masculino por la presencia de factores de riesgo en los adolescentes, como baja autoestima y falta de comunicación asertiva. Conclusiones: El estudio induce a plantear que, la excesiva dependencia de la tecnología, insuficiente rendimiento académico y un deficiente desarrollo personal, son los principales efectos de una inadecuada habilidad social, además, se comprueba la asociación significativa que existe respectivamente, entre los tipos de habilidad social eficientes y deficientes con la comunicación asertiva positiva y nula.
Se describe la construcción y validación inicial de un instrumento para identificar las intervenciones de enfermería en el cuidado del paciente postoperatorio inmediato. Consta de 37 ítems agrupados en 8 dimensiones con una escala likert. El estudio contó con el aval de tres hospitales de la provincia de Imbabura: Hospital General San Vicente de Paúl, Hospital Instituto Ecuatoriano de Seguridad Social de Ibarra y Hospital San Luis de Otavalo. La metodología estuvo enmarcada en el diseño cuantitativo de tipo psicométrico. La muestra estuvo conformada por 29 profesionales de enfermería. La validación del instrumento se realizó a través de juicio de expertos y se calculó el coeficiente de alfa de Cronbach. Se observó que el alfa es igual a 0,8443, por lo cual la consistencia es alta. Eliminar cualquiera de los ítems de la escala no incrementa el alfa, por lo que se concluye que tanto la pertinencia, como la claridad conceptual, redacción y codificación son muy importantes para mantener la consistencia interna del instrumento.
El profesional de enfermería ha desempeñado un rol fundamental en el cuidado al paciente durante la pandemia por COVID-19. Las acciones de enfermería en el cuidado al paciente están sustentadas en el Proceso de Atención de Enfermero (PAE). Objetivo. Describir los parámetros de valoración, diagnósticos e intervenciones que los profesionales de enfermería aplicaron en sus procesos de atención al paciente diagnosticado con COVID-19. Materiales y método. Estudio de abordaje cuantitativo y descriptivo, la población estuvo constituida por 240 profesionales de enfermería que laboraron en servicios de atención al paciente COVID-19 en 4 hospitales públicos de la Zona 1 del Ecuador, se aplicó un cuestionario de 21 preguntas de tipo Likert. Resultados. La valoración al paciente se ejecutó mayoritariamente a través de las 14 Necesidades Básicas descritas por Henderson. Entre los diagnósticos más priorizados se encuentran patrón respiratorio ineficaz, deterioro del intercambio gaseoso y deterioro de la respiración espontánea. Las intervenciones más frecuentes fueron oxigenoterapia, ayuda a la ventilación y monitorización respiratoria, termorregulación y manejo de ventilación mecánica no invasiva, manejo de la vía aérea y monitorización de signos vitales. Conclusiones. Se concluye que la aplicación del proceso de atención de enfermería es fundamental en la práctica profesional, con la valoración integral, diagnósticos priorizados e intervenciones se contribuyó a mejorar y mantener el estado de salud de los pacientes. En este sentido es fundamental el fortalecimiento de esta metodología propia de la disciplina a través de su aplicación.
