Araflt›rmaE vde bak›m, kiflinin sa¤l›k ve sosyal gereksinimlerinin kendi ortam›nda, aile bireyleri veya aileden olmayan bak›c›lar arac›l›¤› ile sa¤lanmas› olarak tan›mlanabilir. Bireylerin, engellilik veya sadece ileri yafl nedeniyle kendi bak›m›n› yapamama durumuna göre, sa¤l›k veya sosyal hizmetlere gereksinimi olabilmektedir. Bu nedenle yaln›zca tedavi edici de¤il koruyucu, destekleyici ve rehabilite edici sa¤l›k ve sosyal hizmetlere duyulan Bulgular:Evde sa¤l›k hizmetleri için baflvuru yap›lanlar›n %61.9'u (52 kifli) kad›n ve ortalama yafllar› ise 58.4±7.4 idi. Çal›flmada de¤er-lendirilenlerin 54'ünde (%64.3) ba¤›ml›l›k, kronik durumlara ve yafll›l›¤a ba¤l›yken, 30'unda (%35.7) bedensel veya zihinsel engele ba¤l›yd›. Bu kiflilere halen evinde bak›m verenlerin, evde sa¤l›k hizmetinden en s›k beklentileri hastalar›n ilaçlar›n›n reçete edilmesi (%41.7), gereksinim duyulan t›bbi cihazlar›n sa¤lanmas› (%34.5) ve hastan›n sa¤l›k bak›m›n›n yap›lmas› (%27.4) idi.Sonuç: Daha çok demans ve serebrovasküler hastal›klar gibi kronik durumlar nedeniyle ve bedensel ya da zihinsel engelliler için baflvurulan evde sa¤l›k hizmetlerinden beklentiler ço¤unlukla; hastalar›n ilaçlar›n›n reçete edilmesi, ilaç raporlar›n›n düzenlenme-si, t›bbi malzeme ve cihazlar›n temini ve hastan›n bak›m›n›n yap›l-mas› gibi t›bbi konulard›r. Background/aim: Obesity is a cause of preventable morbidity and mortality with an increasing prevalence. Health promoting lifestyle activities maintain or improve an individual's health and in adolescence many habits are configured. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of overweight and obesity among adolescents and the relation between obesity and health promoting behaviors.Materials and methods: This is a cross-sectional study including 848 high school students aged 15-17. All students were administered a questionnaire including the Health Promotion Life-Style Profile Scale. Weight and height were measured and body mass index was calculated. Descriptive analysis, Pearson's chi-square test, Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests, and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used. P < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.Results: Of the included students, 80.8% (n = 685) had normal ranges of body mass index, 10.1% (n = 86) were overweight, and 9.1% (n = 77) were obese. The Health Promotion Life-Style Profile Scale average score was found to be 126.7 ± 20.4. There was no significant difference between Health Promotion Life-Style Profile Scale and obesity (P = 0.921). Conclusion:Adolescence is an era of development when individuals start to implement their own features to life. According to this study adolescents do not perform health promoting lifestyles whether they are obese or not.

Giriş: Ülkemizde birinci basamak sağlık hizmetlerinde köklü bir değişim mevcuttur. Sağlıkta Dönüşüm Programı'nın amaçları sağlık hizmetlerinin etkili, verimli ve hakkaniyetli bir şekilde organize edilmesi, finansmanının sağlanması ve sunulmasıdır. Sağlık hizmetlerinin en önemli parçasını oluşturan birinci basamaktaki durumu ortaya koymak toplumun gelecekteki sağlığını belirlemek açısından son derece önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı sağlık hizmetlerindeki değişimin etkilerini hasta düzeyinde ortaya koymaktır. Yöntem: Kesitsel analitik desendeki bu çalışmada Birinci Basamak Değerlendirme Ölçeği (PCAS) kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmada 390 haneden 762 kişiye ulaşılmıştır. Çalışmaya katılanların %50,8'i (n=387) kadın, %49,2'si (n=375) erkek ve yaş ortalaması 42,09±11,91 bulunmuştur. Katılımcıların %39,4'ü (n=300) düzenli sağlık hizmeti aldıklarını ve bu hizmetin %72,3'ünü (n=217) de ASM'de görevli aile hekiminden aldıklarını belirtmiştir. Birinci Basamak Değerlendirme Ölçeğinde en yüksek puan boylamsal süreklilikte (70.96±26.42) ve koruyucu hizmetler ve danışmanlık alt boyutlarında (70.96±26.42) iken, en düşük puan finansal ulaşılabilirlikte (38.94±18.76) bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Ülkemizde birinci basamak sağlık hizmetleri sunumunda değişikliğe gidilmiştir. Bu uygulamanın sonuçlarını değerlendirecek gereçlerinden biri olan Birinci Basamak Değerlendirme Ölçeği (PCAS) ile yaptığımız çalışmada birinci basamakta sürekli hekimi olanların yüzdesi ve finansal ulaşılabilirlik puanları düşük bulunmuştur. Sonuçların genellenebilmesi için bu tür araçların kullanıldığı daha kapsamlı ve ileri araştırmalara gereksinim vardır.

Objective: Acne vulgaris, a chronic disorder of pilosebaceous units, is common in adolescents. Early detection and appropriate treatment of acne is essential in the prevention of severe acne and scarring, and the consequent adverse psychosocial disabilities resulting from feelings of embarrassment, frustration and poor self-esteem. Emotional issues in young individuals with acne must be identified appropriately. Material and method: This was a cross-sectional survey involving students applied to a University Medical Center. They were administered a questionnaire including socio-demographical properties, general knowledge about acne and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale's first ten questions. SPSS 15.0 program was used for statistical analysis and p<0.05 was accepted as statistical significant. Results: Two hundred and forty seven students were included and 63.6% (n.157) were women. Mean age was 21.40±2.38. Majority of the students (99.3%) had acne but 41.3% of acne problems had lasted before three months. Acne was defined as an illness by 53.4% of the students and 38.1% visited a doctor for acne treatment. Conclusion: Despite the high prevalence of acne, there is still much deficiency of knowledge and wrong beliefs about acne. This indicates that there is a need for education about etiopathogenesis, potential complications and importance of effective treatment for acne.

Skar endometriyozis, abdominal cerrahiler sonrası seyrek görülen ve tanı konması güç bir durumdur. Sezaryen sonrası skar dokusunda endometriyozis ise nadiren görülmekte olup, yapılan çalışmalarda farklı oranlar bildirilmektedir. Tanı, çoğunlukla lezyonun eksizyonu ile konur. Bu olguda, sezaryen operasyonundan iki yıl sonra, sezaryen skar yerinde kitle geliştiği saptandı. Geniş eksizyonla çıkarılan kitlenin patolojik tanısı, endometriyozis olarak belirlendi. Üreme çağındaki kadınlarda, batın ön duvarında bulunan kitlelerin ayırıcı tanısında endometriyozis akılda tutulmalıdır. Geçirilmiş jinekolojik operasyon varlığı ve semptomların adet dönemleri ile ilişkili olması ile de bu tanı desteklenmektedir. Aile hekimliğinde, toplumda sık görülen hastalıkların yanı sıra, nadir ve özellikli hastalıkları da akılda tutarak hizmet verilmesi önemlidir.

Abstract Introduction Hypertension (HT) is a systemic disease manifested by high blood pressure and is a major health problem, common in the community and the cause of serious complications. Control of blood pressure levels is an essential step in reducing the resulting complications. The aim of the study is to evaluate the impact of a face-to-face HT training on the HT knowledge and awareness of the family medicine resident doctors, and to understand their needs. Method Our study was planned in a descriptive-cross-sectional research design. Immediately before and after the face-to-face training, participants were given a questionnaire created by researchers based on two documents: the Turkish Hypertension Consensus Reports published in 2019, and the Hypertension Diagnosis and Treatment Guidelines published by the Turkish Endocrinology and Metabolism Society in 2022. Results In our study, we observed the effect of face-to-face education on 15 sub-categories of HT as an intervention research model. In the post-training evaluation, 12 of the 15 sub-categories involved theoretical questions, and three were case-based evaluation questions. The goal was to correctly answer 50% or more of the questions, and it was observed that, after the training, in five of the fifteen sub-categories, this target was generally achieved . Conclusion Face-to-face training is effective in increasing knowledge and awareness, and evaluation capacity, which are two important elements of HT administration in primary care. A detailed examination of 15 sub-categories related to HT revealed the categories that were better in terms of effect size. In addition, we reviewed other factors in the success of education, such as "case study”, and identified the most influential of these. Our study also detailed the effects on sub-categories related to HT management (such as resistance to first-stage HT management), which reveal interesting and somewhat unexpected results
