Objetivo: Avaliar os efeitos da musicoterapia nas respostas fisiológicas do recém-nascido pré-termo em ventilação não invasiva. Método: Trata-se de um estudo quase-experimental, de grupo único, do tipo antes e depois, com trinta recém-nascidos prematuros, hospitalizados em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal (UTIN). Resultados: Houve efeitos benéficos da musicoterapia em relação às variáveis frequência respiratória (FR), frequência cardíaca (FC) e saturação de oxigênio. Ao considerar a primeira variável como controle, na FR, observou-se redução de até seis incursões por minuto (p <0,001) e em relação a FC, de até sete batimentos por minuto (p=<0,002). Considerando a saturação de oxigênio, identificou-se o aumento em média de 2% (p=0,003). A variável temperatura axilar apresentou aumento de 0,1ºC após a intervenção (p=0,05; desvio padrão 0,13). Em relação à escala de dor, identificou-se uma redução de um ponto, alterando-se da classificação de dor leve para nenhuma dor (p=0,001; desvio padrão 0,8).
Objetivo: Identificar por meio da literatura os efeitos da musicoterapia nas crianças e adolescentes elegíveis para cuidados paliativos. Metodologia: Revisão integrativa utilizando artigos científicos completos indexados nas bases PubMed, LILACS e CINAHL publicados no idioma português, inglês e espanhol. A busca ocorreu no mês de abril a junho de 2022, tendo como questão norteadora: Quais os efeitos da musicoterapia nos cuidados a crianças e adolescentes elegíveis para cuidados paliativos? Resultados: Foram selecionados cinco artigos, sendo dois realizados no Brasil e, os demais na China, Iraque e Estados Unidos. A musicoterapia demonstrou-se benéfica para o alivio e redução de dor, bem como para a melhora do estado emocional como tristeza e sentimentos negativos, sendo uma intervenção aceita para crianças e adolescentes elegíveis para cuidados paliativos. Conclusão: Esta revisão possibilitou observar que a musicoterapia é benéfica para a melhora de dados fisiológicos, bem como para o conforto das crianças e adolescentes elegíveis para cuidados paliativos.
Objetivo: Apreender as representações dos profissionais de saúde frente à intervenção musical para recém-nascidos elegíveis para cuidados paliativos. Método: Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, fundamentado na Teoria das Representações Sociais. O cenário de estudo foi a Unidade de Terapia Intensiva neonatal de um hospital universitário na região Sul do Brasil. A coleta ocorreu no período de janeiro à março de 2022, participaram deste estudo profissionais de saúde atuantes na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal. Os dados foram analisados por meio do referencial metodológico do Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo. Resultados: Participaram deste estudo 15 profissionais de saúde entre eles: técnicos de enfermagem, enfermeiros, médicos e fisioterapeutas A partir da análise dos discursos emergiram 4 ideias centrais (IC): IC1- A musicoterapia e o os cuidados paliativos; IC2- A musicoterapia como estratégia para os cuidados paliativos; IC3- Benefícios da musicoterapia; IC4- Malefícios da musicoterapia. Considerações Finais: É fundamental compreender que há muitas dificuldades na inserção da elegibilidade dos cuidados paliativos e na implementação da musicoterapia. Mesmo diante deste cenário, os profissionais de saúde demonstraram visualizar os benefícios da musicoterapia e a necessidade da presença um profissional capacitado para sua aplicação. Além disso, o estudo identificou o interesse dos profissionais no uso da prática em recém-nascidos elegíveis para cuidados paliativos, reconhecendo a importância desta estratégia de cuidado.
