La presente obra de Medicina interna se hace una revisión sistemática de las patologías más comunes en el primer nivel de atención y su manejo clínico. Se incluyen también algunos casos clínicos relevantes para el estudio del medico en formación y personal de salud en general.
El término ablación se define como la aplicación directa de un tratamiento químico o térmico en lesiones tumorales localizadas, con la intención de lograr su erradicación o destrucción parcial. La presente investigación contiene información de revisión bibliográfica de tipo documental, ya que vamos a ocupar de temas planteados a nivel teórico como es la Ablación tumoral y sus aplicaciones. La técnica para la recolección de datos está constituida por materiales impresos y electrónicos estos últimos como Google Académico, Scielo, PubMed, entre otros. Hay una amplia gama de procedimientos de ablación tumoral, por tener una ventaja de ser procedimientos mínimamente invasivos. No están exentos de complicaciones y condiciones para ser aplicados, sin embargo, son procedimientos que pueden en algunos casos como tumores que no estén tan avanzados, proporcionar una opción viable a largo plazo que aumente la expectativa de vida de los pacientes, como se ha desarrollado en la presente investigación, las técnicas y tipos son varias y sus aplicaciones diversas en base a la patología en la que se requiera su utilización.
