Análise das produções literárias sobre o uso do brinquedo terapêutico nos procedimentos clínicos infantis RESUMO:Este estudo teve por objetivo levantar e descrever as produções científicas sobre a utilização do brinquedo terapêutico como recurso facilitador na assistência a criança durante a realização de procedimentos clínicos pela equipe de saúde. A estratégia metodológica constitui-se através da revisão integrativa da literatura, mediante busca eletrônica nos bancos de dados: (SciELO, Lilacs e PubMed), utilizando-se critérios de exclusão e inclusão. A busca nas bases de dados revelou um total de 74 trabalhos científicos pré-selecionados publicados em diversos periódicos. Mediante a utilização dos critérios de inclusão/exclusão e leitura analítica, selecionou-se 12 artigos, publicados no período de 2001 a 2011. A análise dos estudos pautou-se nos efeitos do brinquedo terapêutico como subsidio na realização de procedimentos clínicos em crianças. O brinquedo terapêutico mostrou-se como forma adequada para comunicar-se efetivamente com a criança e prepará-la para o procedimento invasivo e situações adversas. Conclui-se que com a utilização do brinquedo terapêutico, a criança compreende a finalidade da assistência, favorecendo maior adaptação, aceitação e cooperação, facilitando a promoção de cuidados.
