O cultivo de camar�o tem se destacado mundialmente devido ao seu alto valor econ�mico, os carcinicultores t�m investido cada vez mais em tecnologias que melhorem a qualidade da �gua e que proporcione melhor desempenho aos organismos cultivados. O objetivo deste trabalho foi testar corretivos na �gua de cultivo do camar�o Macrobrachium amazonicum. Este trabalho foi realizado no Departamento de Ci�ncias Humanas e Tecnologias XXIV, da Universidade do Estado da Bahia, no Laborat�rio de Carcinicultura em Xique-Xique (BA). O experimento foi de 67 dias, sete de aclimata��o e 60 de coleta de dados. Ap�s a aclimata��o, os juvenis foram contados e estocados em tanques com a densidade de 28,5 camar�es/m2. A estocagem dos camar�es foram realizada em 12 tanques de PVC de 100 litros, com volume de 100 litros, com sistemas independentes de abastecimento e drenagem, acopladas a filtros biol�gicos. Foi utilizado delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado, com quatro tratamentos e tr�s repeti��es. Os corretivos utilizados foram Calc�rio Calc�tico (Tratamento 1) 1.000 kg/ha, Cal Virgem (Tratamento 2) 100 kg/ha, Cal hidratada (Tratamento 3) 200 kg/ha e Gesso (Tratamento 4) 2415 kg/ha. A homogeneidade de vari�ncia foi avaliada pelo teste BARTLETT e ANOVA as diferen�as foram detectadas pelo teste de Tukey a 5% de probabilidade (p≤0,05), com utiliza��o do programa estat�stico SISVAR. Os resultados de par�metros de qualidade de �gua temperatura, oxig�nio, pH, am�nia e nitrito, n�o obtiveram diferen�a significativa de acordo com o teste Tukey a 5% de probabilidade (p>0,05). Por�m, a alcalinidade total e dureza total apresentaram diferen�a significativa pelo teste de Tukey a 5% de probabilidade para a cal hidratada e para o gesso. Conclu�mos que os corretivos foram eficientes na melhoria dos par�metros de qualidade de �gua, mas n�o tiveram efici�ncia no desempenho zoot�cnico.
