Objetivo: Verificar se há diferença na prevalência de disfunção sexual e nos escores dos domínios da função sexual entre grupos de mulheres portadoras do vírus HIV (MP) e de não portadoras (MNP), e apurar se há associação entre disfunção sexual e uso de terapia antirretroviral (TARV). Métodos: Estudo transversal composto por 244 mulheres sexualmente ativas, das quais 123 são MP e 121 são MNP. A função sexual foi avaliada pelo Quociente Sexual-versão feminina (QS-F). Resultados: Houve diferença significativa na prevalência de disfunção sexual entre MP e MNP (25,2 e 9,9%, p= 0,002) e nos escores dos domínios da função sexual: desejo (p<0,001) e orgasmo (p<0,01). Não houve diferença significativa na prevalência de disfunção sexual entre as usuárias de TARV e as não usuárias. Conclusões: Houve maior prevalência de disfunção sexual em MP. O uso de TARV não se associou a aumento na prevalência de disfunção sexual.
