O processo de seleção de recursos humanos para projetos de software é complexo e subjetivo, exigindo que o coordenador do projeto avalie e identifique o conhecimento e a experiência dos profissionais necessários para o projeto. Uma dificuldade natural passa a existir em ambientes corporativos com múltiplos projetos em paralelo. Além disso, no contexto de projetos de software, necessidades específicas devem ser levadas em consideração para tornar viável a realização do projeto, como por exemplo, habilidades muito específicas que o indivíduo já deveria possuir ao início do projeto, pois não existirá tempo durante o projeto para desenvolvê-la. O objetivo deste artigo é verificar na literatura quais são as abordagens adotadas pelos pesquisadores a fim de automatizar o processo de seleção de indivíduos para compor um projeto de software e quais são as suas habilidades consideradas. Para tal, o trabalho realiza um mapeamento sistemático da literatura. Foram definidas quatro questões de pesquisas e, a partir delas, um argumento de busca foi utilizado em sete mecanismos de busca acadêmica. Foram encontrados 497 artigos e, após os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, 12 artigos foram analisados. A partir deles, é possível identificar que os algoritmos genéticos são uma das abordagens mais utilizadas pelos autores, a fim de automatizar a seleção de indivíduos apoiado em um conjunto de habilidades necessárias ao projeto, porém, é notório nos artigos avaliados que cada autor utiliza um conjunto simplificado de habilidade dos indivíduos, em muitos casos apontando por exemplo, que o indivíduo conhece determinada linguagem de programação apenas, sem destacar qual o nível de maturidade do profissional, o que nos projetos pode ser um diferencial.
