The vehicles in the fifth-generation (5G)-enabled vehicular networks exchange the data about road conditions, since the message transmission rate and the downloading service rate have been considerably brighter. The data shared by vehicles are vulnerable to privacy and security issues. Notably, the existing schemes require expensive components, namely a road-side unit (RSU), to authenticate the messages for the joining process. To cope with these issues, this paper proposes a provably secure efficient data-sharing scheme without RSU for 5G-enabled vehicular networks. Our work included six phases, namely: TA initialization (TASetup) phase, pseudonym-identity generation (PIDGen) phase, key generation (KeyGen) phase, message signing (MsgSign) phase, single verification (SigVerify) phase, and batch signatures verification (BSigVerify) phase. The vehicle in our work has the ability to verify multiple signatures simultaneously. Our work not only achieves privacy and security requirements but also withstands various security attacks on the vehicular network. Ultimately, our work also evaluates favourable performance compared to other existing schemes with regards to costs of communication and computation.

The use of social networks sites has led to a challenging overload of information that helped new social networking sites such as Twitter to become popular. It is believed that Twitter provides a rich environment for shared information that can help with recommender systems research. In this paper, we study Twitter user modeling by utilizing explicit relationships among users. This work aims to build personal profiles through a alternative methods using information gained from Twitter to provide more accurate recommendations. Our method exploits the explicit relationships of a Twitter user to extract information that is important in building the user's personal profile. The usefulness of this proposed method is validated by implementing a tweet recommendation service and by performing offline evaluation. We compare our proposed user profiles against other profiles such as a baseline using cosine similarity measures to check the effectiveness of the proposed method. The performance is measured on an adequate number of users.

One of the most successful approaches that can provide a relevant recommendation in various domains is collaborative filtering. Although this approach has been widely applied, there are still limitation to be overcome in this research area. Accuracy is still one of the areas that needs to be improved. In addition, the rapid growth of information available online presents recommender systems with several challenges. More specifically, data sparsity and coverage affect the quality of the recommendations that can be provided. In this paper, we propose an itembased collaborative filtering (IBCF) approach with triangle similarity measures that take into account the length and angle of rating vectors between users and allow a positive and negative adjustments using a multi-level recommendation approach. We have improved the predictive accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method, which outperforms all the compared methods in terms of the mean absolute error (MAE) and the root mean squared error(RMSE). We aimed to evaluate the proposed method by comparing our results with those of some popular similarity mesures using k-nearest neighbour (kNN) algorithms. We ran our experiment using three real dataset: MovieLens 100K, MovieLens 1 M and Yahoo! Movies.

The Internet of Things (IoT) has the potential to transform the public sector by combining the leading technical and business trends of mobility, automation, and data analysis to dramatically alter the way public bodies collect data and information. Embedded sensors, actuators, and other devices that capture and transmit information about network activity in real-time are used in the Internet of Things to connect networks of physical objects. The design of a network management system for an IoT network is presented in this paper, which uses the edge computing model. This design is based on the Internet management model, which uses the SNMP protocol to communicate between managed devices, and a gateway, which uses the SOAP protocol to communicate with a management application. This work allowed for the identification and analysis of the primary network management system initiatives for IoT networks, in which there are four fundamental device management requirements for any deployment of IoT devices: provisioning and authentication, configuration and control, monitoring and diagnostics, and software updates and maintenance.
