Folglich wird die Forderung nach einer inhaltlich breiteren und tieferen unternehmensexternen und -internen Berichterstattung im Personalmanagement lauter. Bilanzen zum Humankapital sind bereits Gegenstand vieler Hauptversammlungen. Aufgrund unterschiedlicher Maßstäbe bei der Bewertung des Humankapitals ist es bisher jedoch nicht gelungen, die Kriterien zu einer einheitlichen Richtlinie und zu einem Rechenalgorithmus zu vereinen, der die Vielfältigkeit der Mitarbeiterstruktur sowie unternehmensspezifische Gegebenheiten gleichermaßen in angemessener Weise widerspiegelt. Entwickelt wird auf Basis der Saarbrücker Formel ein prototypischer Ansatz zur Bewertung des Humankapitals der BASF Coatings AG. Die Ergebnisse sollen die Rolle der Personalabteilung als Business Partner stärken, indem sie die zahlengetriebene Sprache der operativen Einheiten spricht und mit ihnen auf Augenhöhe diskutieren kann. Im Ergebnis konnte ein Bewertungsansatz entwickelt werden, der zum einen sowohl die Vielfältigkeit der Mitarbeiterstruktur des Unternehmens abbildet als auch dessen zentralen personalpolitischen Kontext abzubilden
