La Endometriosis es una de las enfermedades que altera multifactorialmente la fertilidad de la mujer y es concomitantemente con la enfermedad pélvica inflamatoria, las entidades que más alteran el factor Tubo Peritoneal. Es bueno recordar que la intensidad de las manifestaciones clínicas de la enfermedad no tienen relación directa con el grado de alteración que ocasionen las lesiones en la pelvis, de tal forma que una pequeña lesión puede no dar ninguna sintomatología especifica en una paciente, mientras en otra, puede producir tales manifestaciones sistomáticas como las que produciría una lesión muchfsimo mayor. En forma general la exploración física puede ser positiva en la medida que las alteraciones sean más aparentes o las lesiones sean mayores; pero la impresión diagnóstica debe ser siempre certificada mediante la práctica de exámenes complementarios especialmente cuando se refiere al estudio de los casos que comprometen la fertilidad.
Se hace una revisión de las monitorías fetales ante-parto, pruebas de NST durante un período de un año; tomando los parámetros de interpretación de las pruebas de NST en el Hospital de San José de Bogotá y comparándolo con los postulados enunciados por Evertson y Schifrin. Se correlacionaron las pruebas NST según la interpretación que se les dió en el Hospital de San José y según la nueva interpretación siguiendo los parámetros de Evertson y Schifrin con el estado del niño al nacer, valorado según el Apgar, la presencia o no de meconio y el estado del peso del recién nacido. Se pudo concluír, que siguiendo parámetros de interpretación adecuados la prueba de NST es un método muy acertado para valorar el estado perinatal, ya que hubo una correlación directa de la prueba, siendo ésta reactiva o no reactiva con el Apgar, con la presencia o no de meconio y el estado del peso del niño al nacer. La mortalidad perinatal que se encontró para las pruebas reactivas fue de un 0% y para las no reactivas de un 11%.
Se escogieron cuarenta pacientes que concurrieron al servicio de admisión de Obstetricia en la Sala de Partos del Hospital de San José, Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad del Rosario, en los meses de octubre, noviembre y diciembre de 1982 y enero de 1983, con embarazo de 36 semanas en adelante y de alto riesgo dado por enfermedad Hipertensiva del embarazo e Hipertensión arterial asociada o agregada, incluyendo dentro del estudio dos pacientes diabéticas no hipertensas.
