A 74-year-old woman presented with asymptomatic nodules on her right shin, which she firstly detected 8 weeks previously. Medical history revealed arterial hypertension, hypothyroidism and a squamous cell carcinoma of the right cheek.
Clinical findingsTwo livid-erythematous, necrotic nodules (4 × 4 cm and 2 × 3 cm in diameter) were present on the right shin (Figures 1a, b). Further physical examination including palpation of lymph nodes as well as inspection of the mucous membranes showed no other abnormalities.
