La literatura y en general el arte han sido motivo de convenciones internacionales de la UNESCO y es considerada en lo cultural como un derecho para la infancia desde el acceso a la cultura. En el marco de lo educativo (pedagogía, didáctica, enseñanza y aprendizaje) respecto a lo artístico según las clasificaciones para esta situación se diseñó un proceso pedagógico que se conecta con una de las categorías del arte, por ejemplo, según el medio: visual, escénico, sonoro, digital, literario, entre otros. En este artículo solo se aborda lo ocurrido con la literatura en el contexto escolar y el objetivo fue analizar el fomento del aprendizaje significativo desde la escritura creativa a partir de la narrativa del cuento. La metodología fue de enfoque cualitativo en la mirada de la hermenéutica y fenomenología, en la perspectiva del estudio de caso que tuvo como escenario la Institución Educativa (IE) Filadelfia, Caldas, Colombia, durante el año 2022. Aquí, se analizan dos (2) cuentos, de niños de 11 años, con quienes se siguió un proceso de motivación para escribir, se les dieron algunas instrucciones y luego se compartió con ellos la interpretación que hicieron los profesores de sus cuentos. El efecto de lo implementado fue la euforia expresada por los infantes por seguir escribiendo y el interés en relacionar sus escritos con la vida social y con los procesos individuales. La conclusión es que el beneficio para los profesores al hacer uso didáctico de esta forma de aprender con la literatura, en este contexto desde el cuento como estrategia narrativa que estimula que los y las preadolescentes reciban con provecho insumos para aprender y les encamina de manera significativa a continuar con la actividad literaria como una forma de explorar, conocer, analizar e interpretar la subjetividad que experimentan y el escenario de la vida cotidiana.
