Heterocylic diamines have been synthesized to be used as extension agents to obtain heterocyclic polyurethanes by solution polyaddition reactions. As expected, heterocyclic polyurethanes exhibited higher decomposition temperatures than the classic ones. All the diamines and polyurethanes have been characterized by elemental, IR, and thermogravimetric analyses.
Poly(ethy1ene) waxes resulting as by-products in the polymerization of ethylene or as pyrolysis products of poly (ethy1ene) were studied by NMR, IR, UV spectroscopy and thermogravimetry. The effect of the conditions of preparation on the structure and thermal properties of the waxes was studied.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
