The outbreak of the new coronavirus (COVID) started in December 2020. By far, the COVID-19 has affected over 26,547,419 individuals worldwide, with 874,424 deaths and 18,732,160 recoveries as of August 2020. The research aims at identifying the effects of COVID-19 on education sector management pointing out success stories of countries that have been able to overcome the hindrances that the pandemics have brought on the management of the various sectors of education, which other countries may adopt. From our analysis, we discovered that combating COVID-19; demands syndrome surveillance, immediate isolation of patients, and strict enforcement of all contact-persons, quarantine, and country lockdown/border closure. We further outlined ways in which COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemics affect the education of emerging economies. Our article then summarizes the evidence of a negative impact that is likely to disrupt the education system and identifies some policy responses to mitigate the effects. We again realized that what could save education (school system) now and in the future is online learning which authorities should make available, accessible, and affordable especially for developing countries.
Researchers’ attention has been turned on Health expenditure, Carbon emissions, and economic growth as they play a focal role in the current debate on environmental protection and sustainable development. Our paper endeavors to investigate the impact of economic growth and CO2 emissions on Health expenditure for two main countries in Asia (China and India) using a dynamic panel data model estimated employing the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) for the period 1960–2019. Our empirical results show that there is a significant relationship between health expenditure, CO2 emissions, and economic growth. The empirical evidence indicates a significant positive impact of CO2 emissions on health expenditure whiles economic growth has a negative impact on health expenditure for both countries for the period under study. The population growth rate has transposed effect on India's health spending; on the other hand, its impact on China’s health spending is significantly positive. The strong observable correlation between health expenditure and economic growth is crucial for economic development.
The enormous potential inherent in the use of technological enhancements has subsequently informed the deployment of technologies into mainstream health service and delivery. However, a larger population of health technology consumers, specifically patients, are touted to be significantly constrained in its usage. Against this backdrop, our study employs an integrated model anchored on the technology acceptance model and the theory of planned behavior to investigate patients' electronic health use. Our study elicited data from 360 respondents, of which 311 were deemed feasible for the study. Structural equation modeling analysis of data revealed perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use has a relevant positive effect on attitude. Furthermore, the authors found; attitude, internet dependency, perceived behavioral control and the subjective norm also have a relevant positive impact on intention to use electronic health service. Premised on the findings, recommendations about enhancing consumer electronic health use and areas for further studies are successively delineated.
