La importancia de este estudio es describir las manifestaciones clínicas de la enfermedad de Takayasu mediante revisiones bibliográficas para poder conocer síntomas y aportar a la comunidad científica información necesaria sobre la enfermedad. La enfermedad de Takayasu es una enfermedad poco frecuente, de causa desconocida, caracterizada por la inflamación de los vasos sanguíneos de diferentes zonas del cuerpo, como por ejemplo, vascular, ocular, neurológico, pulmonar, cardiovascular, renal y articular. La investigación es de tipo cualitativa realizada con una revisión documental de artículos. Los principales resultados que se presenta son problemas oculares y debilitamiento del pulso. Se logró describir las principales manifestaciones de la enfermedad, concluyendo que sus complicaciones y síntomas son de acuerdo al sitio afectado del organismo.
