The venous bed of the epidural space was studied in 32 preparations of the vertebral column of adults of the II period of adulthood using injection and corrosion techniques, stereoepiduroscopy and Pirogov sections. The topographic anatomy of the internal vertebral venous plexus and the features of its structure in different parts of the spinal canal are presented. The main, mixed, and reticular forms of the studied plexus are distinguished. Data on changes in the cross-sectional area of the internal vertebral venous plexus in the cranio-caudal direction are presented. The structural and functional characteristics of the venous plexus, its relationship with connective tissue structures of the epidural space and their practical significance are considered. To prevent possible complications of various medical procedures, data on avascular zones of the epidural space are presented. Based on the anatomical featur...

On 56 preparations of the spine of the fetuses and adults, which had no diseases associated with the pathology of the spinal column in the anamnesis, the structure, quantitative anatomy and topography of the connective tissue structures of the epidural space in its various parts were studied using histological and anatomical methods. For the first time, a reasonable classification of the structural components of the connective tissue structures of the epidural space (simple trabeculae, simple plates, complex trabecular complexes, complex lamellar complexes, combined complexes and ligaments) is presented. Their morphological features are described. These structures are distributed by size (long and narrow, short and wide, intermediate) and by location (parietal and central). A quantitative assessment of the central epidural structures in different parts (cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral) within the same segment of the epidural space is presented. The ligaments of the dura mater (anterior, lateral, posterior) have been studied. The connective tissue structures of various shapes and localizations to...
