Abstract: A main characteristic of the northeastern semi-arid region is the low availability rain. Given the above, the objective of this study is to analyze the variation of rainfall of Pombal / PB in the years from 1994 to 2010 checking weather systems that are responsible for the precipitation and then compare the rains of this period with the last four years. We used data monthly rainfall of Pombal / PB, corresponding to the period from 1994 to 2010 for an analysis of rainfall between them and after that were compared to the rains that period with 2011 to 2014. Both figures were obtained from the records precipitation of the Agência Executiva de Gestão das Águas do Estado da Paraíba (AESA). Note that the more distant the rainy season, are drier months. This is due to ZCIT move further north from June due to the earth's rotation movements causing drought in the semiarid region. It appears that the rainfall of Pombal / PB is characterized by irregularities and episodes of rains are associated with ZCIT.

Analysis of water regime of Patos-PB through Rainfall Anomaly Index (RAI)

Abstract: Drought is a natural phenomenon that humans can't prevent that from occurring. In this sense, this research aims to analyze the behavior of the water regime of the first five months of the year in the city of Patos, Paraíba interior, in the period from 1994 to 2009 using the IAC. For the development of research, conducted a survey of 15-year rainfall obtained on the website of the Executive Agency for the management of Waters of Paraíba (EASA) of 1994 to 2009. The data were provided in Excel spreadsheet with daily, monthly and annual information and finally was analyzed the behavior of precipitation through the rain Anomaly index (IAC), which is quite simple and is employed to evaluate the dry or humid periods. By the study noted that only 2009 presented a month (April), as extremely moist and the remaining years were classified as humid, wet and dry. The driest year was 1998 that presented negative anomalies from February to may, followed by 1999 with negative anomalies in February and April of the rainy season. The results one realizes that the main rains that occur in the region studied falls on the earth so poorly distributed and irregular, and the rainfall in the region, compared with other arid regions of planets, the semi-arid region Brazil is one of the more it rains all over the world, making it clear that the lack of water in the Northeast are due to the characteristics of the rains. One realizes that only 2009 presented month had as extremely moist and this is not characteristic of the region, and especially the stabilization models of the atmosphere for weather events that caused the rains outside the rainy season of Ducks.

Study of the hidrgeniônico potential and physical conditions of the clubs of Pombal - PB

Abstract: The pools are a set of artificial structures that lead to human being a direct contact with the water through water activities such as swimming. The water quality of swimming pools, as well as the physical structure where she behaves, are factors of paramount importance and therefore should be studied, in search of a better functionality of this environment as well as ensure the health of users. The use of this resource has been carried out freely without an adequate oversight, bringing consequences, such as the proliferation of bacteria and/or transmission of other diseases. For these reasons it becomes relevant to the present study, which had as main objective the analysis of water and physical structure of the pools of public clubs of Pombal-PB in the Northeast region of Brazil.
