El libro surge a partir de la sistematización de materiales didácticos y experiencias desarrolladas a lo largo de más de dos décadas en la cátedra metodología y técnicas de la investigación geográfica. El propósito es presentar a los estudiantes principios fundamentales y elecciones teórico metodológicas con el objeto de acompañarlos en el camino de la investigación científica desde un paradigma emergente que trabaja con la Investigación Acción Participativa y contempla la construcción, no sólo de un Objeto de Estudio, sino también y de manera articulada, el planteo de un Objeto de Intervención y un Objeto de Transformación, vinculados a la implementación de los saberes científico-académicos para la transformación de los territorios. Se espera que el libro realice un aporte a un nicho de materiales en el cual no abunda el material bibliográfico específico con una perspectiva disciplinar centrada en la investigación geográfica. La obra se estructura en cinco capítulos. Comienza dando cuenta de los temas que eligen los estudiantes, continúa con algunos planteos epistémicos y metodológicos básicos y luego aborda tres fases o momentos del diseño de una investigación, el campo problemático teórico-empírico, el objeto y los objetivos, y la estrategia metodológica.
Este trabajo presenta resultados de una encuesta realizada en dos amplias zonas del Gran La Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, con posterioridad a la trágica inundación del 2 de abril de 2013. Su objetivo es analizar las percepciones que los habitantes de estos barrios tenían con respecto a los problemas sociales y ambientales para aplicar los resultados en el diseño de agendas científicas de intervención y transformación. En el artículo se retoma el enfoque territorial de la teoría social crítica del espacio y se aplica parcialmente el Método Territorii, que aporta una visión integral de los territorios incorporando la participación de actores comunitarios, políticos, económicos y científico-técnicos. Finalmente, se presentan los avances obtenidos en agendas científicas en ejecución que apuntan a micro-transformaciones concretas desde una visión y gestión integral basada en los resultados obtenidos con la encuesta.
Este trabajo aborda de manera crítica el impacto en el ambiente de grandes obras de arquitectura en un contexto de cambio climático, a partir del concepto de expoliación urbana y del territorio como lugar de resistencia. Se revisan los enfoques sobre la necesidad de preservar estos ambientes y se muestra la debilidad de la estructura económica e institucional, que se traduce en una legislación ambiental laxa y en la fragilidad de los procedimientos. Se presenta el caso de un emprendimiento náutico sobre humedales en el río Gualeguaychú con una metodología predominantemente cualitativa, destacando la fuerte presión del núcleo especulativo y las dificultades que tienen los actores de la resistencia, en un contexto de agravamiento del problema de inundaciones.
El trabajo constituye una revisión crítica de una experiencia concreta de planifcación territorial en la escala municipal, procurando establecer articula- ciones entre los abordajes teórico-metodológicos que nutren el debate actual sobre políticas de pla- nifcación territorial y la experiencia analizada. El caso de Colón, Buenos Aires, es abordado a partir de tres objetivos específcos: a) describir la expe- riencia; b) analizar los principios teórico-meto- dológicos que sustentan las prácticas y elecciones realizadas; y c) ofrecer lineamientos para el debate en torno a los principales nudos problemáticos de la experiencia y los resultados obtenidos. Se com- binan para ello, técnicas de análisis documental de múltiples fuentes desde una óptica refexiva y au- tocrítica. Por último, se exponen unas breves líneas a modo de refexiones fnales.
