Durch gepulste Laser‐Photolyse der Ketone (I) bzw. (II), im Falle a) auch der Azoverbindung (III), werden die Radikale ′R′ (sec.‐Phenethyl, Diphenylmethyl, Cumyl) als Radikalpaare in micellarer Isooctan‐Lösung erzeugt.
Die Cycloaddition des Laser‐Blitzphotolytisch erzeugten Titelcarbens an die Olefine (I) und (II) vollzieht sich in Isooctan mit Geschwindigkeitskonstanten 2. Ordnung von 3.3·108‐3.8·106/M·s; aus ihrer Temp.‐Abhängigkeit werden Aktivierungsenergien von ‐1.7 bzw. ‐0.77 kcal/mol für (I) und +1.0 bzw. +1.1 kcal/mol für (II) ermittelt.
