Perfil dos casos de intoxicação exógena em trabalhadores no município de Palmas, TocantinsProfile of cases of exogenous intoxication in workers in the city of Palmas, Tocantins RESUMO Introdução: As intoxicações exógenas são manifestações patológicas causadas por agentes químicos, físicos e biológicos que entram em contato com o organismo podendo provocar diversas alterações clínicas, até mesmo a morte do indivíduo. O ambiente de trabalho é um dos locais em que mais ocorrem acidentes relacionados a esses agentes. Produtos químicos, gases tóxicos e os agrotóxicos colocam a saúde em risco, uma vez que fazem parte da rotina de muitos trabalhadores. Objetivo: Traçar o perfil dos casos de intoxicação exógena relativos ao trabalho notificados no município de Palmas (TO), de 2009 a 2019. Materiais e Método: Trata-se de um estudo do tipo observacional e de caráter transversal, cujos dados foram extraídos casos de intoxicação exógena do Sistema de Informações de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN), por meio do software TabWin, em seguida, tabulados em planilhas do MS Office Excel 2019 para posterior análise estatística descritiva. Resultados: O estudo revelou que o perfil dos casos de intoxicação exógena no município de Palmas (TO) está relacionado, principalmente, a trabalhadores do sexo masculino, no grupo etário de 20 a 39 anos, com emprego de carteira assinada e sendo os produtos químicos de uso industrial e doméstico os principais agentes causadores das intoxicações.
