Given the current context of the strong use of agricultural pesticides, sustainable forms are sought so that plants can create defense mechanisms for pathogenic fungi and insect pests. For this, it is necessary that they are in excellent nutritional status, being fundamental a nutrition with macro and micronutrients, and also with beneficial nutrients, according to the demand of each plant. Silicon is classified as a beneficial nutrient, which can confer greater stiffness to plant cells, greater resistance to bed, better tolerance to water stresses, salinity and toxicity of heavy metals, greater resistance fungi and insectpests , in addition to increasing the production of various trees. The element is generally available in the soil, but if necessary, fertilization via incorporated soil, foliar or fertigation may occur. Therefore, the objective of this work is to perform a bibliographic review on the influence of silicon on plant production. Furthermore, it is desired to verify the importance of silicate fertilization for large crops, resulting in economic and management benefits in agriculture. In view of the above, techniques that seekan efficient management in the s and sustainable cultures to the environment, such as the case of fertilization in a conscious way, are necessary in the search for higher yield, given the growing demand for food.
Diante do atual contexto de acentuado uso de defensivos agrícolas, buscam-se formas sustentáveis para que as plantas possam criar mecanismos de defesa aos fungos patogênicos e insetos-praga. Para isso, é necessário que estas se encontrem em ótimo estado nutricional, sendo fundamental uma nutrição com macro e micronutrientes, e também com nutrientes benéficos, de acordo com a demanda de cada planta. O silício é classificado como nutriente benéfico, que pode conferir maior rigidez às células vegetais, maior resistência ao acamamento, melhor tolerância a estresses hídricos, salinidade e toxidez de metais pesados, maior resistência a fungos e insetos-praga, além de aumentar a produção de diversas culturas. O elemento, geralmente, está disponível no solo, mas caso faça-se necessário, pode ocorrer adubação via solo incorporada, foliar ou fertirrigação. Diante disso, o objetivo do presente trabalho é realizar uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a influência do silício para a produção vegetal. Ainda, deseja-se verificar a importância da adubação silicada para as grandes culturas, resultando em benefícios econômicos e de manejo na agricultura. Diante do exposto, técnicas que busquem um manejo eficiente nas culturas e sustentável ao meio ambiente, como o caso da adubação de maneira consciente, são necessárias na busca pelo maior rendimento, visto a crescente demanda de alimentos.
