Sauerstoffüberdruckbehandlung chronischer Wunden ist nicht nur logisch zwingend, sondern auch wissenschaftlich als äußerst wirksam erwiesen. Die transportable Hyperbox ist im stationären Bereich eines Schwerpunktkrankenhauses eine sichere Therapieoption im Kampf gegen den Beinverlust. Vor allem sogenannte "aussichtslose" Fälle von Patienten mit diabetischer Gangrän, jahrelang bestehendem Ulcus cruris unterschiedlicher Genese oder fortschreitende Nekrosen bei paVK im Stadium IV nach Fontaine ohne Interventionsoder Rekonstruktionsmöglichkeit profitieren von dieser Therapieform. Keiner dieser Patienten erlitt im Untersuchungszeitraum eines Jahres eine Majoramputation. Der logistische und personelle Aufwand für die Behandlung mehrerer Patienten zweimal am Tag ist erheblich. Vor Einführung dieser Therapieform muß diese Ressource wegen der Hygieneanforderungen beim Patientenwechsel gewährleistet sein.
