O Brasil tem uma das maiores diversidades de anfíbios e répteis do mundo, entretanto, esta se encontra ameaçada devido ao desmatamento e as mudanças climáticas globais que alteram e destroem seu habitat. Além disso, uma complexa relação entre a herpetofauna e ser humano leva, em alguns casos, a um ódio, medo ou repulsa com relação a esses animais, o que atrapalha ainda mais seu processo de conservação. Neste sentido, a Educação Ambiental Crítica é alternativa para a mudança deste paradigma, já que, além de questionar e promover a mudança das bases capitalistas que causam a crise ambiental, também sensibiliza para a necessidade da conservação. Por seu caráter interdisciplinar, pode englobar o uso de músicas na sua prática, essas, que podem ser vistas como artefatos históricos que representam a realidade por meio da subjetivação de quem a produz. Assim, ao observarmos a música brasileira podemos perceber vários pontos de vista sobre anfíbios e répteis. O presente trabalho estrutura um acervo sobre a herpetofauna na música brasileira e o analisa em diálogo com a Educação Ambiental Crítica, visando compreender as subjetividades envolvidas na relação com estes animais. O objeto de estudo limitou-se às canções letradas em português e de autores brasileiros para a construção do acervo, estruturado entre novembro de 2020 a junho de 2021 por meio de buscas digitais na internet, com uso de palavras-chave. Estas músicas e palavras-chave foram organizadas em diferentes categorias genéricas e específicas. A conservação da herpetofauna foi um tema pouco encontrado e o simbolismo que se expressou com mais frequência foi a associação entre esses animais e a sexualidade. Este acervo e análise possibilitam a discussão sobre vários aspectos culturais envolvendo a figura de répteis e anfíbios e os diferentes povos humanos. Podem ainda ancorar estudos da Etnozoologia e Socioecologia, além de dar base para processos de Educação Ambiental Crítica e Educação Sexual. Palavras-chave: Anfíbios. Répteis. Interdisciplinaridade.
