La restauración del cuadro "Ecos de Roncesvalles" de 1890 del pintor valenciano Antonio Muñoz Degrain se llevó a cabo en el taller de Pintura del Departamento de Tratamiento del Centro de Intervención del IAPH una vez adquirida la obra por parte de la Consejería de Cultura de la Junta de Andalucía para el Museo de Málaga, ciudad a la que el artista estuvo muy vinculado durante su vida. El artículo resume el tratamiento efectuado, que llevó parejo un estudio histórico-artístico de la obra, así como una investigación analítica de los materiales empleados por el pintor y la ejecución final de la intervención de la misma
El Centro de Intervención del Instituto Andaluz de Patrimonio Histórico ha desarrollado el proyecto de investigación y restauración de una de las obras más conocidas de Bartolomé Esteban Murillo Santa Isabel de Hungría curando a los tiñosos, pintura al óleo sobre lienzo de 345 x 228 cm realizada 1672 y que pertenece al conjunto iconográfico que encargó Miguel Mañara para decorar la Iglesia del Señor San Jorge de la Hermandad de la Santa Caridad de Sevilla. Debido al expolio francés, la obra faltó de Sevilla desde 1811 a 1939, y ha permanecido hasta nuestros días en malas condiciones de conservación. Por ello, muchas generaciones de visitantes no han conocido en todo su esplendor la calidad de esta magnífica obra de Murillo, que presentaba apariencia amarillenta y aspecto casi plano, debido a la cantidad de elementos añadidos a la capa pictórica a lo largo de su historia. El trabajo de restauración ha permitido realizar una investigación detallada de este bien y conocer las circunstancias concretas que lo han afectado en su historia material, a la que corresponden las alteraciones que presentaba. Con la actuación de conservaciónrestauración recientemente finalizada, la obra ha recuperado luminosidad y perspectiva, siendo por tanto más cercana en su estado actual a la que plasmó Murillo en el momento de su ejecución
Este artículo sintetiza la intervención propuesta por el Centro de Intervención del Instituto Andaluz del Patrimonio Histórico para el Santo Cristo tallado en madera de un tronco de ciprés datada en el último tercio del siglo XVII, como obra probable del taller del escultor Pedro Roldán y Onieva. Las dos líneas de actuación conllevaban la eliminación los daños existentes a nivel estructural y funcional; y aplicar tratamientos de restauración que contribuyan a la restitución material y presentación estética de la imagen.
El proyecto de conservación¿restauración del lienzo de gran formato denominado El Convite de Jesús en casa de Simón el Fariseo del pintor Miguel Manrique, fechado en 1642, propiedad en la actualidad de la Catedral de Málaga, se enmarca dentro de las actividades de investigación, análisis y tratamiento que coordina el Centro de Intervención del Instituto Andaluz del Patrimonio Histórico (IAPH). Esta actuación, de gran complejidad debido a las dimensiones de la obra, su estado de conservación y los problemas derivados de su modo de ubicación, ha tenido como objetivo la puesta en valor de un bien cultural de indudable valor histórico-artístico, considerado la obra pictórica más significativa del barroco malagueño
