A demanda por energia a partir de matrizes não fósseis gera um cenário favorável para o avanço de tecnologias de menor impacto ambiental. Diante disso, este projeto visa o desenvolvimento e a caracterização de células fotovoltaicas de heterojunção p-a-Si/n-c-Si a partir da deposição de um filme de silício amorfo hidrogenado por ECR-CVD dopado por implantação de boro e de células fotovoltaicas de homojunção n-c-Si/p-c-Si/p+-c-S dopada por difusão de fósforo. Também foram executados processos de otimização de eficiência, como a deposição de camada antirrefletora e corrosão traseira para célula de heterojunção, com ganhos de eficiência de quatro ordens de grandeza, e recozimento térmico para célula de homojunção, com ganhos de 23,8% de eficiência.
