A series of universal super twisted nematic matrix modules (STN LCD) with the information capacity of 240*64, 240* 128 and 320*240 pixels with built-in drivers have been obtained in the "chip-on-glass" technology (COG). The process of shaping of an oriented STN-layer of a liquid crystal was optimized. The phenomenon of a hysteresis is minimized at a level of multiplexing up to D=1:240 (B = 1 :16) with magnitude of contrast no less than 75 % and switching time about 170 ms.
The constructive and technological properties of liquid crystal devices (LCD) in the connection with the variants of their manufacturing by the use of basic technologies created have been considered. A flexible combination of elements from different LC-technologies gives a possibility to choose different variants of the device manufacturing and gives prospects for the improvement of LCD with low medium information capacity.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
