Exergy analysis is often performed statically, for given system\ud
conditions and reference state. Dynamic exergy analyses, considering the\ud
variation of system operation and ambient conditions, would obviously be more\ud
time consuming. Therefore comparing the results of the two approaches helps\ud
understand when the dynamic methodology should be preferred. In this paper the\ud
yearly behaviour of a reversible Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) is dynamically\ud
simulated with TRNSYS. At every time step the exergy delivered and consumed\ud
by the ASHP is calculated. Dynamic exergy effi ciencies are then compared with\ud
steady state values and some useful considerations regarding the differences are\ud
performed
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
