Near-threshold electron impact spectra in Ne, demonstrably free of post-collision interaction (PCI) effects and negative-ion resonance structures, have been obtained as a function of scattered energy over the energy range from 41 to 52eV. We find that single-electron transitions 2s22p6+2s2p6nl dominate over two-electron transitions 2s22p6 + 2s22p4nln'l' and that states with terms 'S and 3P are preferentially excited.Detailed comparisons with previous theoretical and experimental data are made, in particular with those obtained by threshold electron impact techniques where PCI and negative-ion resonances are often a complicating issue.
ChemInform Abstract During the reaction of the acyl imine (I) with N,N-dimethylaniline (II) C-alkylation takes place, producing the isocyanate (III). In contrast, the amine (VI) is obtained from (I) and N,N-dimethylbenzylamine (V), together with the isocyanate (VII) and the fluorohydrocarbon (VIII) due to a hydride transfer. (Mechanism).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
