Extreme Cases of M. CrohnSummary. Since 1.6. 1979 we operated 32 cases ofM. Crohn, 14 of which had extreme courses (as a maximum a patient with 9 preceding operationes). Fistulae nearly always occurred, 4 conglomerate tumors, 5 abscesses. Operations: 9 Ileum-and colon resections (4 end-to-end and 5 side-to-end anastomoses); 2 colectomies (Hartmann) -ileorectostomy after conservative therapy; 3 resections of the rectum according to Miles. Lethality rate: 0; 4 cases of septic fever; dehiscence: 0. Results: 1 recurrence at the anastomosis, in all other cases a remarkable improvement of the general condition was observed.
