Remarkable Solvent Effect on the Enantioface Selectivity in the Diels-Alder Reaction Catalyzed by an Aluminum Complex of a Newly Prepared Chiral Menthol Derivative.-The Diels-Alder reaction of the crotylamide (I) and cyclopentadiene in the presence of a newly developed chiral menthol catalyst is investigated. A remarkable dependence of the enantioface selectivity for the endo adducts (III) is observed. -(NARAKU, G.; HORI, K.; ITO, Y. N.; KATSUKI, T.; Tetrahedron Lett. 38 (1997) 47, 8231-8232; Dep.
