Recently measured photon-induced spallation yields have been compiled and analysed with the Rudstam five-parameter CDMD formula. The mass and energy dependence as well as the absolute values of the parameters are consistent with earlier findings.
Natural radiative lifetimes have been determined in the 3sns 'So {n =4 -15) and the 3snd 'D2 (n =3 -15) sequences of Mg I employing a pulsed-laser system. The radiative lifetimes in the So sequence and of the higher members in the 'D2 sequence are unperturbed and scale as ( n ) (where n* is the effective principal quantum number), while the lifetimes of the lower members in the 'D2 sequence are perturbed by the doubly excited 3p configuration. The measured lifetimes are compared with available theoretical calculations, and a very good agreement is obtained.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
