A power inverter is a dynamic system. Once it is switched on a transient process occurs until the system approaches its steady state mode. In this paper we calculate this _ i Z _ transient behavior but also the steady state using the state variables approach. From the continuous-time state equations U ( with periodic input signal we derive a discrete-time dynamical system model which uniquely describes the qualitative behavior of the inverter but is much easier to handle. We demonstrate how transient and steady state modes of the inverter can be analyzed and how the results can be used for the design of the reactive elements.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
