The radio source PKS 0906 + 01 is identified in the revised Parkes Catalog (Ekers 1969) as a "possible" quasi-stellar object (QSO). A finding chart has been provided by Bolton, Shimmins, and Merkelijn (1968), who estimate the magnitude of the object as 17.5 on the Palomar Sky Survey.On a blue plate exposed on March 10, 1969, the source appeared over half a magnitude brighter than its image on the O print of the Sky Survey.
