The objective of the present study is to evaluate the molecular docking, antimicrobial, anticancer activity of the Schiff based Cobalt (II), Nickel (II), Copper (II) and Cadmium (II) complexes derived from 3, 4 – diamino benzophenone, salicylaldehyde and glutaric anhydride. The Schiff base ligand and their complexes have been further identified by 1H NMR, 13C NMR. All the Schiff base metal complexes have been screened for their Antimicrobial and anticancer effect. The anticancer activity was studied using MTT assay which showed that the increase in concentration of compound increases the cell death. At 7.8 µg/ml concentration there is an increased anticancer activity, i.e., around more than 97% of cell inhibition. The results of anticancer activity may be positively correlated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
