EinleitungDie Masteigenschaften beim Schwein siad in starkem Mai3e umweltabhangig. Der Anteil der genetischen Varianz an der Gesamtvarianz betragt bei diesen Merkmalen nach KIRSCH (1966) h2 = 0,25. Bei Beachtung von Einzelmerkmalen werden fur die Futterverwertung folgende Heritabilitatskoeffizienten genannt: Von JOHANSSON u. KORKMAN (1950) fur Large White und fur die Shwedische Landrasse h2 = O,12 bis 0,23; von OSTERHOFF (1955) fur die Danische Landrasse h2 = 0,26; von FREDEEN (1953) fur Yorkshire h2 = 0,30 bis 0,38; von PIRCHNER (1964) h2 = 0,18 bis 0,30. Als Einwirkungsquellen oder Umweltfaktoren iibt neben der Futterung insbesondere das Stallklima einen Einflui3 aus. Um das genetische Leistungsvermogen der Mastschweine voll ausnutzen zu konnen, mui3 somit das Klima der Unterkunfte optimal gestaltet werden. Versucht man die zahlreichen Stallklimaelemente abzustufen, dann stehen Teinperatur und Luftfeuchte die groi3te Bedeutung zu. Literaturbesprechung Angaben EU optimalen Temperatur-und Feuchtigkeitswerten der Stalluft liegen in der Literatur zahlreich vor. Die geforderten Werte weichen jedoch teilweise voneinander ab. Als Grund lassen sich insbesondere unterschiedliches Material und damit Rassen-und Typenvariationen angeben. Aus den in der Literatur niedergelegten Untersuchungsergebnissen und Mitteilungen seien einige herausgegriffen. WAGENBACH (1957) ermittelte bei 1 Mitteilung aus dem Forschungsauftrag ,,Stallklimatische Untersuchungen in Schweinestallen", der mit Hilfe der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft durchgefuhrt wurde.
