Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations in the longitudinal magnetoresistance of heavily-doped p-type germanium ( p e 3.9 x l0ls are observed for H parallel to (loo), (110), and (1 11). The direction-dependent behaviour of these oscillations shows the anisotropy and non-equidistance (Luttinger effect) of the light-hole Landau levels.
