Perspectives on Pedagogy Advancements in technology during the past three decades have brought novel sociocultural circumstances that affect youth decision making. Present-day youth often experience strong contradictions in relation to sexual health decision making in an ever-changing social environment. Contemporary or postmodern life presents challenging and uncertain social conditions that ultimately cause young people to engage in introspective thinking and "self-talking."
