This study aims to classify the level of understanding of students at STIKOM Tunas Bangsa. Data obtained from the results of even semester semester student questionnaires, with data samples of 165 students. The attributes used are 5, namely communication (C1), learning atmosphere (C2), learning media (C3), appearance (C4) and teaching methods (C5). The method used in this research is C4.5 Algorithm and processed using RapidMiner software to make decision trees. From the results of the study obtained eight rules to determine the level of student understanding, 4 rules understand and 4 rules do not understand. The C4.5 algorithm is accurately applied to determine the level of understanding of students with an accuracy rate of 87.50%. With this analysis, it is expected that it can help institutions in improving the quality of education through the performance of lecturers in the teaching and learning process. So as to produce STIKOM Tunas Bangsa graduates who are rich in knowledge and useful for the community.
This decision support system is used to select outstanding teachers and is aimed at SD 095130 Senio Bangun which still uses manual system in assessing the candidates of outstanding teachers. So this system is expected to assist the agency in the process of assessment and determination of outstanding teachers in the area of Pematang Siantar City quickly and accurately. The method used in ranking the selection of teachers achieving achievement in this system using AHP method is a method The workings of this method is almost similar to the workings of the brain, namely by elaborating complex problems into more problems that are more structured and systematic. Where alternatives are used as much 4 teachers with job criteria, education, rank / goals / Space and last sk. The results of ranking in this system are influenced by the selection of preference criteria and determinations entered into the system. The test of this system uses data from 45 teachers, ranking divided according to Kindergarten, SD / MI, SMP / Tsanawiyah, SMA / MA, and SMK. Of the several trials that have been done to determine the achieving teacher, the ranking results are much faster and more accountable.
English is one of the important components in realizing a quality college and being an international language means the language that will be used when conducting conversations between countries or nations. To realize a quality college, STIKOM Tunas Bangsa began to impose an increase in learning English. However, this was found to be an obstacle, namely the low interest of students in learning English. In this study will be determined the factors that are the main reason for the low interest of students in learning English. Data inputted based on the results of the questionnaire with the STIKOM Tunas Bangsa case study, then processed using the Weighted Sum Model (WSM) method by determining the alternatives to be used as reference in retrieval. decisions, namely, the level of difficulty, the level of understanding, environmental factors, and the role of the lecturer. The test results show that the WSM method is able to produce factors of low student interest in learning English based on the required criteriaKeywords: English Language, Decision Support System, WSM Method, Student Interest.
