La investigación titulada procrastinación y estrés académico en el engagement académico en universitarios, tuvo como objetivo general determinar la incidencia de la procastinación y estrés en el engagement académico de dichos estudiantes. La investigación fue de tipo sustantiva, y de nivel descriptivo. El diseño de la investigación fue no-experimental, de corte corte transversal o transeccional. El estudio fue correlacional-causal. El método utilizado fue el hipotético deductivo. La población compuesta por un total de 340 estudiantes universitarios. La muestra conformada por 181 universitarios de la facultad de educación de los ciclos III, V y VII, el tipo de muestreo utilizado fue el probabilístico por estratos. Para recolectar los datos se utilizaron los instrumentos de las variables. Para la variable procrastinacion académica se utilizó el cuestionario de Solomon & Rothblum (1984) PASS (Procrastination Assessment Scale - Students); para la variable estrés académico se formuló con SISCO de Barraza (2007) y para la variable engagement académico se utilizó UWES-Student de Salanova, Bresó y Schaufeli (2005). El procesamiento de datos se realizó con el software SPSS (versión 22) y Excel 2010. En la investigación se encontraron según las evidencias estadísticas que existe incidencia significativa de la procrastinación y estrés académico en la dimensión vigor del engagement académico con 54.8% Así mismo se encontró que la procrastinación y estrés académico inciden en el engagement académico en universitarios; debido a la desviación p<0.05 y el modelo es explicado en 70.4%.
