O presente artigo teve como objetivo identificar os principais fatores que influenciam a realização de compras em e-commerce por jovens de um Campus do Instituto Federal de Minas Gerais (IFMG). Para isso, foi desenvolvida pesquisa descritiva, de abordagem quali-quanti, com o uso da estratégia de estudo de caso e survey. Foram aplicados 101 questionários e realizadas 3 entrevistas semiestruturadas com o intuito de aprofundar os resultados obtidos na etapa quantitativa, visando a triangulação metodológica. As estratégias utilizadas para a análise dos dados foram as técnicas multivariadas e análise de conteúdo. Os resultados permitiram identificar a descrição do produto, descrição da oferta, informações sobre o site, tempo de efetivação da compra e feedback do site, como as principais variáveis influenciadoras no processo de compra em e-commerces. Além disso, três perfis foram identificados: Satisfeitos’, ‘Relativamente satisfeitos; e ‘Não satisfeitos’ em relação ao processo de compra neste ambiente. Como principal contribuição desse estudo destaca-se a possibilidade de melhor compreensão de jovens consumidores em e-commerce.
