RESUMO A endarterectomia é uma opção de tratamento da aterosclerose que se caracteriza por uma doença difusa e degenerativa das artérias. O Anestesiologista participa na avaliação inicial, estabelece risco pré-operatório, reconhece e trata as alterações clínicas durante a cirurgia e ajuda na prevenção de complicações no pós-operatório. A TIVA (anestesia venosa total é uma técnica na qual é definida a concentração do fármaco (dose-alvo) em um determinado compartimento corporal (plasma) por um sistema de infusão, que associa um fármaco hipnótico e um opióide. Estudos demonstram que a TIVA proporciona estabilidade hemodinâmica, menores riscos de eventos isquêmicos proporcionando assim vantagens em relação a outras técnicas anestésicas. PALAVRAS-CHAVES: Anestesia geral venosa total alvo controlada, endarterectomia, ateromatose, clampeamento carotídeo.
Justificativa: Dor no membro fantasma é a consciência de dor na extremidade amputada, é uma sequela comum e significativa de dor crônica de difícil tratamento, onde sua terapia deve ser individualizada. Objetivos: O presente estudo, fundamentado em dados da literatura, tem o propósito de reunir os tratamentos indicados da síndrome dolorosa conhecida como dor fantasma. Método: Fez-se uma revisão de literatura em que foram selecionados artigos científicos nas bases de dados Medline, Lilacs e Pubmed publicados entre 1999 a 2017, em português e inglês. Foram enumeradas 21 publicações. Resultados: A fisiopatologia das dores no coto e no membro fantasma não está totalmente compreendida, acredita-se que tanto mecanismo periférico quanto central contribui para os quadros de dor. Diretrizes de tratamento ainda estão por evoluir empregando abordagens medicamentosas e multidisciplinares. Conclusão: A dor no membro fantasma continua sendo prevalente. Seus tratamentos são baseados em mecanismos específicos e ainda estão em andamento sendo a maioria recomendações para dores neuropáticas.
