Höller (Aachen) und Kees Verhaak (Nimwegen) herausgegeben von FRANZ-JOSEF EILERS SVD (AACHEN) Oktober -Dezember Zehn Jahre "Communicatio Socialis" Nr. 4Mit dieser Ausgabe vollendet "Communicatio Socialis, Zeitschrift für Publizistik in Kirche und Welt" ihren zehnten Jahrgang. Als wir in den ersten Tagen des Jahres 1968 begannen, war dies eine rein private Initiative der Herausgeber. Sie waren davon überzeugt, daß nur eine eigene Zeitschrift von wissenschaftlichem Anspruch dem weiten Gebiet christlicher Publizistik eine solide Grundlage geben könne. Die neue Veröffentlichung unter dem Titel des Konzilsdekretes sollte "solchen Erkenntnissen und Erfahrungen aus dem Gesamtbereich der Publizistik ihre Seiten öffnen, die mittelbar oder unmittelbar für kirchliche publizistische Arbeit bedeutsam sein können. Sie soll durch Beiträge von Fachleuten auf Probleme und Aufgaben hinweisen und zu ihrer Lösung beitragen-durch Information, Anregung und Kritik". Ob und inwieweit dieses Ziel, das im ersten Heft genannt wurde, in den vergangenen zehn Jahren erreicht wurde, mögen andere beurteilen. Wenn die Zeitschrift nunmehr zehn Jahre besteht und einen Beitrag dazu leisten konnte, dann verdankt sie das all jenen, die als Mitarbeiter und Leser zu ihrer Existenz beigetragen haben. Ein besonderes Wort des Dankes gilt hier dem inzwischen verstorbenen Verleger Josef Lechte, Emsdetten, der dem jungen unsicheren Unternehmen 1968 die Geburt ermöglichte, und dem Verleger Ferdinand Schöningh, Paderborn, der die Zeitschrift weiter sicherte und ihr in seinem Hause seit 1971 eine Heimat gab .

Poster advertising by the churches is studied with a sample of ca. 200 postcrs that were used by the catholic and protestant churches promoting conferences, missionary work and welfare activities. Analysis shows the church posters lacking advertising know-how. Some proposals are included for using communication research findings. RESUMENPor el ejemplo de los carteles se examina la utilizaci6n de medios de propaganda moderna al servicio de las Iglesias. Para el analisis se disponfa de alrededor doscientos carteles. Se hizo una encuesta entre algunas instituciones que suelen usar esta clase de propaganda por carteles, investigando acerca de datos de producci6n, gastos generales, tiraje, circulaci6n y frecuencia. Entre las mencionadas instituciones se cuentan por ejemplo: el Congreso de la Iglesia Evangelica Alemana, las acciones "Adveniat" y "Pan para el mundo", las misiones urbanas. EI analisis crf tico de los carteles usados por las Iglesias revel6 una cierta insuficiencia e ineficacia debidas a una fa!ta de criterio, especialmente respecto investigaci6n de motivos y planificaci6n. Para remediar esta situaci6n se propone aprovechar las ciencias periodlsticas y las experiencias hechas por los economistas. Erste panafrikanische UNDA-Tagung in KinshasaVom 31. Januar bis 3. Februar 1969 tagte in Kinshasa (Republik Kongo) das erste inter-afrikanische Treffen der Internationalen Katholischen Vereinigung für Rundfunk und Fernsehen (UNDA). Vorsitzender des Kongresses war UNDA-Präsident Agnellus Andrew OFM. Das Treffen kam zustande durch die Bemühungen der Vertreter neun afrikanischer Länder, die bei der letzten UNDA-Generalversammlung 1968 in München (Bericht in CS 1 :1968, S. 236-238) anwesend waren. Dort wurde der Beschluß gefaßt, die nationalen Zentren der Dritten Welt auszubauen. Entsprechend suchte man alle afrikanischen Länder zusammenzubringen, um Fragen der fachlich-personellen Ausbildung sowie des Auf-und Ausbaus von Hörfunk-und Fernseh-Einrichtungen zu besprechen. Vertreter der einzelnen Länder berichteten über ihre Erfahrungen, Pläne und unmittelbaren Erfordernisse. Die meisten konstatierten ein freundliches Entgegenkommen der staatlichen Radiostationen. Einige Regierungen hätten das Niveau der religiösen Programme so hochstehend gefunden, daß sie die katholischen Pro-244
