Schlüsselwörter: Ambulante Alkoholentwöhnungsbehand-lung ± Ambulante Entzüge ± Suchttherapieverbund ± CaseManager-Hausarzt 5 year Evaluation of Out-Patient Alcohol Dependency Treatment: Success of a Network Structure with a General Practitioner as Case Manager: Results of the evaluation over 5 years of a mostly 1 year out-patient alcohol dependency treatment via therapeutic cooperation with the medical practitioner as case manager are reported and discussed with remarks to the general context. 75 % of the later re-examined patients were abstinent in the proceeding half year. Only 15 % fullfilled ICD-10-dependency criteria instead of 92 % initially. The continuous abstinence rate since end of therapy was 63 %. There was clear improvement of neurological and biochemical conditions. The patients' general satisfaction note rose from 4.37 to 2.49 on a scale ranging from lowest 6 to highest 1. Out-patient professionel detoxification in indicated cases was without complications. The treatment is much more cost efficient than hospitalization methods, but coverage is insufficient.
