As ações afirmativas modificaram a estrutura do Ensino Superior Brasileiro, promovendo o acesso de populações historicamente privadas desse espaço. Neste artigo, objetivamos analisar as experiências de estudantes cotistas de graduação indígenas e quilombolas da universidade em estudo. Os sujeitos de pesquisa também são autores e autoras. Dessa maneira, quatro estudantes indígenas e quatro estudantes quilombolas com paridade de gênero participaram de rodas de conversas sobre suas experiências e desafios no Ensino Superior. Foi identificado que os editais específicos de ações afirmativas são importantes formas de acesso. Porém ainda se observa que estudantes e professores da universidade em estudo reproduzem preconceitos e práticas de discriminação contra indígenas e quilombolas. Apesar dessas lógicas, os estudantes cotistas resistem a essas práticas, apontando a importância de ocupar a universidade com suas trajetórias de luta, seus corpos e suas vozes de resistência.
